This is the page where I can tell you how much I love chocolate, Harry Potter, scrapbooking, reading, Christian music, going to the movies or binging full seasons on Netflix, and DISNEYLAND!
But that might just be boring and now is not the time for a nap.
While all those things are true, they hardly define me.
I’ve struggled with my weight and lack of self confidence my whole adult life. I’ve made a million plans and most of them didn’t happen the way I thought they would. I’ve experienced anxiety and disappointment many times.
But despite all these things, I have been blessed beyond measure, more than I can possibly express.
I am married to possibly the most amazing human on the planet. Together we’ve raised four fabulous kids, including one born with severe disabilities. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in that adventure! My kids experienced a different life than a lot of families, and I believe it’s part of what has made them amazing people. Life’s been a struggle at times, but through it all we’ve learned a lot.
Now our kids are grown and we both work for the airlines, which is opening up the world to us. I’ve been able to go places I never thought I’d see! (Aruba, anyone?)
When all is said and done, the most important thing to know about me is that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My love for my Savior and my faith define my life. I know everything I have and everything I am I owe to Him who created me, and through Him and because of Him I can do all things.
Despite the fact that we live in a technological world, I’m a paper and pen kind of girl, and I don’t think I’m the only one out there! I’ve learned a lot about how to organize and keep things together with paper and pen, and I love to create printables and journaling pages to keep it all going.
When there is a choice to download or print, I choose to print.
I still keep a paper calendar and planner in addition to the one on my phone just because I love to fill it in with all different colored pens and admire it! Plus the stickers…..oh my!
I just can’t convert myself to digital scrapbooking because I love the 3-D look of layered paper, ribbons, flowers and buttons that go into a traditional scrapbook. And don’t get me started on how much I love my Cricut!
And let’s talk scriptures. I am the proud owner of two entire bookshelves filled with sets of scriptures. Plus another shelf dedicated to journals, notebooks, talks I have printed, and workbooks to help with my studying. You may see me at church reading my scriptures from my phone, but that is not the case at home!
All this comes back to paper and pens, scissors, rulers, stickers, pencils, erasers, highlighters and white out! (And don’t forget about the Cricut!) I can’t wait to share!
